Bills call for submissions for 'Touchdown for Teachers' contest

The Buffalo Bills and M&T Bank are kicking off their Touchdown for Teachers contest, and they're looking for nominations.

The contest is now in its tenth year. It celebrates outstanding teachers who are involved in both their school and their community. One grand prize winner receives a $2,000 grant for their school and a classroom visit from a current or former Buffalo Bills player. Four finalists will receive a $500 grant.

To qualify, teachers must be living in one of 15 counties:

Buffalo region: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, Wyoming

Rochester region: Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, Yates

Beyond Buffalo/Rochester: McKean County, PA and Ontario County, ON

Teachers will be judged based on their school and community involvement, degree of positive impact, and commitment to education.
