BUFFALO, N.Y.(WKBW) - Beyonce may be the Queenbee who’s pregnant with twins. But she has nothing on new Buffalo mom, Melissa Habberfield.
She gave birth to triplets almost two weeks ago. She and her husband Kevin welcomed three baby girls named Peyton, Reese, and Mika at Sister of Charity Hospital.
These triplets came without any fertilization drugs, which doctors say is rare. Doctors say triplet and multiple births are more common among in vitro fertilization and multiple embryos implanted.
According to statistics, one out of every one-thousand births are twins. One out of every 10-thousand births are triplets. Multiple births are common amongst women over 30, African Americans, and those with twins in their family.
Grammy winning artist, Pharell Williams’ wife, Helen recently gave birth to triplets as well.
Doctors say maternal health and age play a role in how the pregnancy goes.
