North Tonawanda Police are warning gift givers of a Mother's Day scam circulating Facebook.
Police posted an article on their Facebook page from Clark.com claiming a coupon is circulating Facebook for a free $50 coupon to Lowe's in celebration of Mother's Day.
Facebook users who click on the coupon will be directed to a survey that appears to be on the Lowe's website, but is actually a fraudulent site not associated with the home improvement store. The survey and scam are designed to steal your information, according to the article.
Clark.com says Lowe's has confirmed that the coupons is definitely a scam.
