Bald eagle spotted at Tifft Nature Preserve

An uncommon sighting at Tifft Nature Preserve was captured on camera.

Photographer Nathan Johnson took this shot of a bald eagle and an osprey.  A pair of osprey are nesting on top of a platform at Lake Kirsty at Tifft, but bald eagles aren't a common sight at the nature preserve.

The nesting platform was installed in 2010.  A press release from the preserve says it's part of the New York Power Authority's Habitat Improvement Projects.
