Look twice before drinking raw milk.

Today, NYS Department of Agriculture Commissioner Richard Bell warned people in Orleans County not to drink unpasteurized raw milk from the Martin Yoder Farm.

On September 13th, a department inspector sampled the milk and found a Campylobacter jejuni contamination.

Campylobacter jejuni is a common cause of food poisoning. Symptoms typically include abdominal pain, diarrhea, and fever.

You will see symptoms develop within two to five days after exposure and usually last about seven days.

Officials say the Martin Yoder Farm immediately stopped selling the milk.

The farm is located in Medina, N.Y.
