You may have seen her in the sky over Buffalo for the past week, a special visitor, "Madras Maiden" a 73 year old B-17 Bomber from World War Two, is still flying high.

Of the 13 thousand B-17's made for the war effort in the 1940's, only a dozen flying examples remain around the world today.  The Liberty Foundation brought it's shining example into Buffalo this past week, so people could see the "Queen of the Skies" up close and personal.

The historic plane was on static display at Prior Aviation at the airport and offered 30 minute rides in the air for a $450 donation.  That money goes toward the cost of keeping this plane in the air so younger generations can see what it took to fight for freedom.

Keith Radford and a 92 year old Western New York veteran went for a ride and relived some long ago memories.
