An Attica man is facing a number of charges after police say he strangled his wife, and tried to keep her from leaving their home during a fight.

39-year-old Adam Jellison is charged Strangulation, Assault, Unlawful Imprisonment and Criminal Mischief.  Attica Police were called to his home on Prospect Street around 3:15 a.m. July 30th.  Police say Jellison and his wife had been fighting, and during that fight, he strangled her, assaulted her, and tried to keep her from leaving the home.  Eventually police say she was able to get a cell phone and call 911.  Jellison's wife was treated for injuries by an ambulance.

Jellison was arraigned in the Village of Attica.  He is set to reappear in court in late August.  The judge issued an order of protection for Jellison's wife.
