The Academy of Theatre Arts (ATA) will celebrate the grand opening of its new performing arts center which will include performances from four Broadway actors from Tony award-winning shows.
The nationally recognized ATA has a new center located at 4231 Transit Road in Williamsville.
The new facility includes a vocal studio, dance studio, acting studio, performance artist dressing room, student library, administrative offices, a 150+ seat theater, and lobby.
Broadway actors from Rent, In the Heights and Wicket will perform with members of the ATA youth theater company at a sold-out gala on July 9.
The general public can watch the rehearsal for the gala during the Open House on July 9 from 12 pm.m to 2:00 p.m. Facility tours will also be given.
Monday, July 11 will be the official start of ATA's 2016-17 season. ATA plans to produce 10 shows each season. All will be open to the public and include Elite performers. The first show will be "A Chorus Line" in November.
