Adler started a couch in his Franklin Street apartment on fire on July 30, 2017. Snapchat videoappeared to show Adler committing the crime.

Five people who were inside the building at the time of the fire were able to escape but two victims had to be rescued by firefighters from the second-floor window.

The flames severely damaged the building. It also sustained water damage.

All residents were displaced and lost their belongings.

Adler pleaded guilty in March. He must pay a $5,000 fine and an order of protection was issued for three victims who lived in the apartment building.
