Recreation areas are back open at the Kinzua Dam in Warren, Pennsylvania.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District announced on Tuesday it had reopened the visitor's parking lot, restrooms, picnic area and visitors center.

The areas were initially closed after law enforcement informed the agency of an unspecified threat involving the dam.

"The Army Corps takes its commitment to protect public health and safety seriously and will implement appropriate measures when aware of increased risk. This includes actions that involve information security and physical security."

Anyone wishing to report a possible security issue can contact the See Something, Say Something Corps Watch Hotline, 1-866-413-7970.
