Spoiled Rotten, a fixture in the Elmwood Village for almost two decades, will soon become the latest business to turn out the lights in a neighborhood already struggling with a growing number of vacancies.

"We've decided to close the store and will be starting our going out of business sale this weekend," said a post on the store's Facebook page. "We have loved every minute of our time on Elmwood and plan to remain involved in any way we can to help keep the community strong. We are still property owners and we [will] work very hard to find a new business that will suit the neighborhood's needs."

Recognized by its bright pink exterior and colorful awning, Spoiled Rotten is located between Lafayette and Lancaster Avenues and features a wide selection of Buffalo-themed clothing and gifts.

It joins a growing list of longtime retailers to exit the Elmwood Village - from Forest to Allen - including Mother Nature Florist, Jimmy John's, Subway, The Elmwood Market, MTK and Newbury Street.
