Changes could soon be coming to Greek housing in Amherst.
The Amherst Planning Board met on Thursday and is making some policy recommendations for any new fraternity or sorority houses.
Among those recommendations includes preventing any new house from being located in residential areas.
Last year, a private investor expressed interest in building a 100-acre gated community for all fraternities and sororities at the University at Buffalo.
Ultimately, any decision is up to the Amherst Town Board.
