Just in time for the first snowstorm of the year, an economy airline launched a new route between Western New York and Florida.
Allegiant began nonstop flights between Niagara Falls and Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Friday.
As a promotion, the airline is offering one-way fares as low as $54.
The new flights will operate twice weekly and will fly nonstop from the Niagara Falls International Airport (IAG) to Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL).
This is Allegiant's third route between the Cataract City and the Sunshine State -- the airline already flies to Orlando, Tampa / St. Pete and Punta Gorda / Fort Myers.
Fares can only be purchased online.
