The drive to help those less fortunate this holiday season is already underway in Western New York.
The Basil family of car dealerships hosted an all day toy drive at Clayton’s Toy Store on Main Street in Amherst as part of “Operation Santa Claus,” which helps Toys for Tots distribute gifts to the needs.
Director of Marketing Jessica Basil said, “We feel really strongly that every kid deserves to have a happy holiday and we do what we can to help make sure everyone has toys under their tree.”
People who drop off a toy can enter to win one of five new vehicles or $21,000 towards a pre-owned vehicle. The winner will be chosen live on Channel 7 on December 18.
There will be other toy drives held throughout the holiday season.
