It's been more than 30 years now since Lackawanna's Father Nelson Baker was proposed for Sainthood, but it could still be a long time before the beloved "Padre of the Poor" officially makes the list.
Becoming a Saint in the Roman Catholic Church is a 5-step process and for some who have been blessed it didn't happen until 150 years after their death. Others were put on the fast-track and achieved the honor in less than a decade.
