The national spotlight is on Buffalo Tuesday as the snow continues to fall.

ABC World News sent correspondent Gio Benitez to South Buffalo to cover the storm and give the nation a look at just how severe the weather is.

7 Eyewitness News reporter Jill Perkins met up with Benitez and his crew on Seneca Street.

"I've covered a lot of blizzards, I've covered a lot of storms, this lake effect storm, this is colossal," said Benitez. "We're trying to focus on showing people that this is very serious, this is not something to take for granted."

Benitez will be reporting for World News Tonight with David Muir on ABC at 6:30 p.m. following 7 Eyewitness News at 6 on Tuesday.
