A Minnesota primary may hold interest for Sabres fans in Buffalo

A Minnesota senate primary's results may be of interest to Sabres fans here in Buffalo.

State Senator Karin Housley, who's married to Sabres head coach, Phil Housley, won the state's Republican primary for U.S. senate.

She's running to take over the rest of U.S. Senator Al Franken's term; he resigned in January amid sexual misconduct allegations.

Housley will face Senator Tina Smith, who was appointed to replace Franken after his resignation. Smith won Tuesday's Democratic primary.
