A family was ripped apart following an early morning fatal fire at a multi-residential home on Buffalo's east side.
The father, Demetrius Johnson Sr., died while trying to save his young children. The eldest of three suffered burns to 90% of her body and had to be airlifted to Shriner's Hospital for Children in Cincinnati, Ohio.
In addition, another man living in the upstairs apartment died in the fire.
