Transit Drive-in and other outdoor drive-ins across the country teamed up with 26 Shirts to create a special t-shirt commemorating the 85th anniversary of the opening of the worlds first drive-in.
The shirt reads, "Keep Calm And Drive In." The t-shirts cost $21.95. Eight of those dollars will be donated to St. Jude Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Every 2 weeks, 26 Shirts releases a new special edition t-shirt. Every shirt purchased from 26 Shirts results in a donation to a good cause. You can purchase the special edition drive-in t-shirts at 26 Shirts website.
According to Transit Drive-In, only 314 drive-ins remain open. At its peak in the late 1950s, there were 4,000 operating drive-in theatres across the United States.
