On Sunday, November 12th around 3:30 p.m., Jamestown Police were dispatched to Lafayette Street on report of two individuals being unresponsive in an apartment.

According to police, the 8-year-old child in the home made the 911 call.

Police and EMS arrived and found 30-year-old Kelly Sherlock and 45-year-old Luis Garcia unresponsive on the floor suffering from an apparent overdose.

EMS administered Narcan doses to both Sherlock and Garcia, who did regain consciousness. Both were taken to UPMC WCA, treated, and released.

Sherlock, who is the 8-year-old's mother, and Garcia were then taken into custody by police and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

According to police, both were arraigned in Jamestown City Court and placed in County Jail.

The child was not injured and was turned over to a family member.
