7 ways to save money at the Erie County Fair

The rides! The funnel cake! The concerts! The Erie Co. fair is underway, and as always there's tons to do throughout the week.

And why not enjoy the fair while saving some cash? We've got 7 ways to save money at the fair:

 

1. FILL THE FOOD BANK (Wednesday, Aug. 10th)

Heading to the fair on opening day? Bring a canned good and get in for FREE. Donations will be accepted at all fair gates beginning at Noon.

 

2. THANKING THOSE WHO SERVE (Friday, Aug. 12th and Sunday, Aug. 14th)

All firefighters and auxiliary members will receive FREE admission with proper ID on Firefighters Day, August 12th. Veterans, active military and auxiliary members with proper ID receive FREE Admission on August 14th.

 

3. FREE MUSIC (Friday, Aug. 12th)

Join us for a free concert Friday, August 12th starting at 8:30 p.m. featuring Memphis Legends. (A tribute to Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins)

 

4. EARLY ON WEEKDAYS

Arrive before 11 a.m. Monday-Friday and get into the Fair for only $5

 

5. STUDENT SAVINGS

Teens and young adults (ages 13-22) can pay just $5 after 5 p.m. every day. (With proper school ID)

 

6. COME HUNGRY

During the tase of the Fair on Monday, August 15th, over 100 vendors will be offering food items for just $2.00. You can also get a $5 souvenir mug featuring $2.50 refills every day at participating vendors. For the kids, Buck-A-Roos featured 10 items for $1 at their stand near Kiddieland. There are also coupons for vendors, which can be found here. In addition, you can bring in coolers with food and drink for one of the fair picnic areas. (No alcohol or glass bottles are allowed)

 

7. AS SEEN ON TV (Tuesday, Aug. 16th)

WKBW Day at the Fair is on Tuesday. Head to the fair for $2 admission all day!
