As we transition into June, there's plenty of events happening across the area this weekend. Take a look!
Buffalo Greek Festival
If you're in the mood for some Greek cuisine, why not head on down to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church on West Utica Street. The Buffalo Greek Festival will have plenty of Greek music and cultural events. The festival runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday and costs $3. Times for the event are as follows:
Friday - 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.
Saturday - 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.
Sunday - 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Red Cross BASH
It's regarded as one of the biggest kickoffs to the summer festival season in Western New York. But after 20 years, the annual Red Cross BASH will come to an end. Former M*A*S*H* star Loretta Swit will be making an appearance, with music provided by Nerds Gone Wild!
The Red Cross BASH will take place at Clement Mansion located on Delaware Avenue Friday. Tickets cost $75. If you end up bringing a friend, two tickets will cost you $125. The event starts at 6 p.m.
Buffalo Superhero Race and Wellness Walk
Heroes of all ages will pack Delaware Park for this year's Buffalo Superhero Race and Wellness Walk. This event promotes and raises funds for children living with mental health challenges. The event will be held at Delaware Park near St. George's Church. The walk starts at 6:30 p.m. The 5K race starts at 7:15 p.m. For more information, you can visit their website.
FC Buffalo vs SC Cleveland
FC Buffalo wants you to pack the stands at Robert E. Rich All-High Stadium as they get ready to play SC Cleveland Friday. Tickets cost $7. Game starts at 7 p.m. #ForOurCity
Run the 'Burg for Autism
Why not lace up and Run the 'Burg for a good cause. The 5K race takes place on Saturday at 11 a.m. at J.P. Fitzgerald's. To register for the event, you can visit their website.
Star Wars Night at Coca-Cola Field
It's one of the most anticipated nights of the season at Coca-Cola Field. Star Wars fans will have a chance to dress up and meet some of their favorite characters Saturday. The Buffalo Bisons will take on the Charlotte Knights. First pitch is at 6:05 p.m. Tickets cost $14.
Pride Parade
More than 100 organizations will take part in this year's Pride Parade. The Pride Parade will start at the corner of Elmwood Ave. and Forest Ave. and continues down Elmwood Ave. towards Allen St. The parade starts at noon.
