Posted

A major project to ease traffic on and around the Peace Bridge in Buffalo is now complete.

Work just wrapped up on a the new ramp that runs from the Peace Bridge Plaza to the 190. The new ramp is designed to give trucks easier access to the 190 so traffic doesn't get backed up at the bridge.

Governor Andrew Cuomo says the project will transform the bridge to the 21st century. "By enhancing mobility and resiliency, these improvements will upgrade the travel experience for thousands of motorists, bolster the regional economy and continue to build on the resurgence of Western New York.", said Cuomo.

The $56 million project is part of the state's $21 billion investment into roads and bridges.
