400 square foot apartments the next thing in Buffalo?

Rails on Main will be a new 322 apartment complex located on the corner of Hertel and Main in Buffalo. The building is perfectly situated between UB South and the medical campus which makes it perfect for grad students. 

"It should be a big draw for students" project architect Michael Conroe said. 

Another draw will be 400 square foot studio apartments, or micro apartments, which will be fully furnished with a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. 

"When you're inside the unit it's not going to feel like a 400 square foot apartment."

The building is breaking ground in the fall of this year, with an opening date of the summer of 2020.
