Buffalo homicide detectives called to the scene of a shooting in the city's university district.
A police source tell us that a 25 year old man was shot in the first block of Thatcher Avenue between East Amherst and Kensington.
The shooting happened around 3 p.m. Saturday.
The victim's name and condition are unknown.
The gunman is still on the loose.
