Did you catch the “Great American Eclipse?” If you missed it, don’t worry. The path of the April 8th, 2024 eclipse is set to pass right over western New York.
There are no plans for the 2024 eclipse here in western New York but places like Visit Buffalo Niagara are certainly taking notes with what happened on Monday, elsewhere.
“I think really for us, at this point, it’s an evaluation of what other destinations were doing. Looking at their social media tactics, what they did to attract and lure visitors to their destination,” said Patrick Kaler the CEO of Visit Buffalo Niagara.
With so many companies geared towards tourism, especially around Niagara Falls, Kaler says teamwork will be vital.
“We can partner with other tourism entities here in the destination and really make it a big community wide event,” said Kaler.
The "Great American Eclipse" is over. Get ready, western New York, we're next. Well, in six and a half years.
