Riders put their wheels to the pavement while dodging rain drops under cloudy skies at the 2018 Ride For Roswell Saturday.

Although the weather wasn't great, the 2018 Ride was one for the record books, for the first time in the events 23-year history it raised over $5 million for cancer research and patient care, $5.2 million to be exact.

7,740 riders set about on 11 routes ranging from 3 to 102 miles, including two international routes that crossed into Canada.

An additional 2,000 volunteers were present along with many supporters, leading to over 10,000 people taking part in the event.

The event has raised $48 million since 1996.

The 24th annual Ride For Roswell is scheduled for Saturday, June 22, 2019.
