A 13-year-old boy was struck by a 2016 Chevy Cruz heading westbound on West Quaker Street at Linwood Friday afternoon, according to police.
Police say the boy ran across the street and stopped because of a vehicle heading eastbound. The person driving the Cruz did attempt to swerve and avoid striking the boy without success, police said.
According to police, the boy suffered minor injuries and was released to his family.
The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries. Police did say however the front of the car suffered minor damage.
