"Buffalo, what an amazing city. Let's hear it for Buffalo everybody!" Co-founder Amy Lesakowski said center ice.
Organizers of the second annual 11 Day Power Play said the event raised a record-breaking $1,250,000 million dollars for charity. Eighty percent of the proceeds will go towards Roswell Park. The remaining money will be split between Camp Good Days, and Make a Wish of Western New York.
"We are absolutely thrilled that Buffalo has embraced it and to be able to help families and support cancer research at the same time is overwhelming and amazing," Lesakowski said.
Fifteen-hundred players took part in this year's Power Play--much more than the two teams of twenty that played in the inaugural contest last year.
