Blood, sweat, tears and champagne spewing from bottles covered the ice at HarborCenter Monday morning as players celebrated the end of a grueling 11 day hockey game.

40 players, 250 consecutive hours of hockey and more than $1.2 million raised for Roswell Park Cancer Institute shattered the world record for longest hockey game.

The fundraiser started one June 22nd. Players then traded off ice time and rest for 11 days, never leaving HarborCenter.

Thefundraising goal of $1 million was surpassed at the end of the event. Funds will benefit Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

Many players complained of the same injuries at the end of the 11 days, sore feet, hands and overall tiredness.
