At a time when we're so focused on screens, when is the last time you picked up a book?
How about the last time you made a book? We're not talking becoming a novelist or a writer, we're talking about the physical book itself. At Western New York book arts you can make paper, bind a book or work a letterpress.
The non-profit organization wants to keep the art of books alive. They continue that mission through education, creation and exhibition. WNY Book Arts Center provides a number of workshops to explore.
WNY BAC is located at 468 Washington Street in Downtown Buffalo. It features a letterpress and screen printing studio, a gallery, a working museum and a gift shop featuring pieces from local artists.
