BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - Applications for Mayor Brown's 2018 Summer Youth Employment and Internship Program are now open.
About 210 companies and organizations will participate in the program. Included are private sector businesses, not-for-profit agencies, health care agencies, community organizations, and faith-based organizations.
The program is an opportunity for city youth between ages 14-21 to learn new skills while earning extra money on the side. It runs 20 hours a week for six weeks from July 9th to August 16th.
According to city officials, over 22,000 city youth have been employed through the program since 2006.
Anyone interested can download an application at www.city-buffalo.com and return the completed form to the Department of Community Services located at City Hall on 65 Niagara Square, Room 1701. The deadline is April 27th. For more information, email email@example.com.
