BUFFALO (WKBW) — A new destination for wings in the Elmwood Village is now one step closer to reality. The Buffalo Planning Board approved plans for a new Duff's Famous Wings restaurant at 471 Elmwood in the home of the former Casa Di Pizza.
Plans must still be presented to the Elmwood Village Association and the Buffalo Common Council but the hope is to have the location open sometime in 2020.
"We are just excited to come down to the city", said Joe Duff, co-owner of the new Elmwood location. "It's been a plan of ours for awhile now. We've been waiting for the right time and this seems like the right time".
The plan is to have a restaurant on the first floor with a banquet type area available on the second floor. "We want to get this location right. We want to make sure it's as authentic of a Duff's experience as you are going to get", said Duff.
