NORFOLK, Virginia (WKBW) — Marshmallow cereal flavored beer? You betcha. A brewery in Virginia is releasing a new IPA inspired by the classic breakfast cereal Lucky Charms.
Smartmouth Brewery has created a beer called Saturday Morning IPA which will be released this weekend. The brewery says the beer is a throwback to "those Saturday mornings when you rolled out of bed and were lazy all morning watching your favorite cartoons." According to Smartmouth Saturday Morning IPA is made with pounds of marshmallows along with tropical fruity Calypso hops. The results? "Magically ridiculous" according to the brewery.
Saturday Morning IPA will be released in limited 4-packs at the Smartmouth Brewery location in Norfolk, Virginia on March 2nd.
