These were 2015's most-popular baby names

Posted

While some baby names maintain ubiquity over the course of decades, chart-topping baby names are more often tied to the time of their peak.

Jessica topped lists in the ‘90s, while Jacob snagged the spot as the most common name of the 2000s. Though you might not be surprised to know that reigning winners of 2014 held on to their popularity in 2015, other names that made list might shock you.

Using data from the Social Security Administration, MooseRoots compiled a list of the top 12 names among boys and girls in 2015, ranking them from least to most popular.

Note: All values measuring frequency were rounded to the nearest tenth.
