ORLEANS COUNTY, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Orleans County Health Department is looking for anyone who may have come in contact with a rabid kitten.
The 6-8 week old white/brown female kitten ((pictured above)) was discovered by animal control officers in the Village of Holley on the morning of Monday, September 2. The kitten tested positive for rabies and has since died.
If anyone did have contact with this kitten or a potential litter of kittens in the area pictured in the map above, contact the Orleans County Health Department immediately at 585-589-3278.
The next free rabies clinic is scheduled for Saturday October 12 at the Orleans County Highway Department from 9:00am -11:30am.
