Friday thunderstorms; what to expect

A fast moving frontal system will cross WNY this afternoon causing thunderstorms to develop. Some of which can be strong to severe with heavy rain, strong winds and hail. A warm, humid environment until then has it feeling like summer with scattered showers early and temperatures nearing 70F through this afternoon.

NOW - NOON
Some areas of sun from late morning into the early afternoon. Humid as temperatures rise into the 70s in spots where sun is out the longestx. Breezy SW winds 15-20mph.

NOON-2PM
Rain and t-storms approach, Clouds increase, breeze increases.

2PM - 5PM
Rain and thunderstorms cross WNY from northwest to southeast. Beginning near Buffalo and travels southeast to Allegany county by 5pm. T-storms that develop may turn severe with strongs winds, heavy rain, frequent lightning and small hail especially just south of Buffalo. The storm prediction center has south east WNY under a slight risk at 2% chance to see a Tornado as this cold front passes.

5PM-8PM
Storms move further south into northern Pennsylvania for McKean and Potter county with continued threat of strong to severe storms.

After passage of strong t-storms it'll begin to dry out all across WNY from 8pm onward.
