EAST OTTO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Erie County Sheriff's Deputy accused of roughing up a Bills fan has been named in a fresh, unrelated lawsuit.
Kenneth Achtyl is one of three deputies accused of assaulting an East Otto man during a traffic stop in July 2018. The suit, filed Monday, comes only days before Achtyl is set to stand trial, accused of using excessive force on someone during a Bills game in 2017. Body cam video captured that incident.
We have reached out to the Erie County Sheriff's Office for comment. We're waiting to hear back from them.
A spokesperson for the county issued a brief statement saying, "The county does not comment on pending litigation. Thank you."
