Grab your picnic baskets and polish off your playbooks! Shakespeare in the Park is back with two of the Bard's best plays.

The 2018 season of Shakespeare in Delaware Park kicks off on Thursday, June 21st with a run of King Lear. King Lear is a tragedy about an aging king going mad after trying to divide his kingdom between his three daughters.

King Lear runs from June 21st until July 15th. All performances start at 7:30 p.m. and are free to all. You're welcome to bring food and drinks, but remember to always clean up after yourself!

The comedy Much Ado About Nothing plays from July 26th until August 19th. Performances for both plays are every night, Tuesday through Sunday. The play is one of Shakespeare's most performed comedies, somewhat of a romantic comedy.

Shakespeare in Delaware Park is located behind the Rose Garden, off Lincoln Parkway. You can find more information here.
