Sorry, everyone on Facebook. That article you’ve been passing around about Justin Timberlake moving to Buffalo is pure hogwash.

It cropped up Friday on a website called “KUPR 7 News.” The articles states that in a recent interview, Timberlake shocked L.A. by saying:

“I’m just tired of the L.A. lifestyle and the fake people, honestly, and I feel like, at this point in my life, I’d rather just live in a place full of real, genuine people. I’ve been to Buffalo a few times over the years and the people there are real… they’re genuine, and yeah every community has its problems but the people there are good, decent people and they care about their community. Those are the things I find most important in deciding where to live. I’m not retiring, I’m just looking for a change in life and I think I’ve found that in Buffalo.”

There’s just one problem – the story and the quote are completely made up. In this case, it definitely pays to read the fine print.

Though it doesn’t say it in the article, if you check the “About” section on the KUPR 7 News website, it clearly says, “KUPR 7 News is a fantasy news site. Most articles on kupr7.com are satire or pure fantasy.”

And if that doesn't convince you, check out this article posted three days ago that KUPR 7 News posted, saying Justin Timberlake was moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan because he would "rather just live in a place full of real, genuine people." Sound familiar?

Sorry, Queen City. I know you were hoping the King of Pop would choose to reign here, but right now that’s a fantasy. But who knows what the future holds?

And don't feel bad if you were fooled. No doubt some people are still waiting for Jimmy Fallon to come to their house to give them a full body massage.
