They say timing is everything.

“My doctor said I wouldn't make it to midnight,” explained Kristina Wienckowski of the City of Tonawanda.

In this case, that couldn't be truer for Kristina, and her husband Chris. “By chance she came right at midnight.”

Charlotte Reese Wienckowski, born 6 lbs. 12 oz just after the stroke of midnight made her the first Buffalo baby of 2019.

“I think we're all in shock that she's even here,” Kristina holding her newborn in her Oishei Children’s Hospital room Tuesday morning.

After all, Kristina’s due date wasn't until January ninth.

Kristina and Chris already have three girls. “It's going to be a little crazy at the house but I'm ready for it,” Chris explained.

Charlotte isn't even the first holiday baby in the fam. “Her oldest sister is born on the 4th of July,” Kristina said.

Still, being the first Buffalo baby of 2019 is something the proud parents won't soon forget. “I'm excited. It will be a fun story for when she's older.”

The Wienckowski family received a gift basket from the hospital and a $350 gift card from Fisher Price.
