The Western New York Walks! Initiative supports walking and physical activity in all of Western New York, and is inspired by best practices from America Walks and the Wellness Institute Walking to Wellness programs. All of these efforts are working together to address the Robert Wood Johnson County Health’s Rankings in WNY in the areas of physical activity, stress management and the walkability of communities in Western New York. Linda is joined by Phil Haberstro, CEO of The Wellness Institute of Greater Buffalo and Rod Nagy, WNY Walks Team. They tell us the value of a simple 30 minute daily walk cannot be overstated when it comes to the benefits of improving physical and mental wellbeing.
