All week local educator Jay Hall has been giving instruction on grouping ideas together. Today we are making Reader’s Theatre Skits. This project involves students reading aloud. Students make and create a skit from their text with or without costumes or props. It combines reading practice and performance and enhances students reading skills and confidence. This project promotes fluency, reading with expression and gives students an authentic audience for their work.
