Rear View Ramblers

Best New Band by Artvoice Readers
Posted

Crowned “Best New Band” by Artvoice readers in this year’s Best Of Buffalo awards, Rear View Ramblers are set to release their debut EP appropriately titled “Buffalo Americana”.

One of the most eclectic and celebrated music lineups in the area, on August 17th the Live At Larkin concert series will host the free CD release show for one of Buffalo’s most exciting new acts. Performing songs from the EP and more, Rear View Ramblers will showcase the dynamic vocal harmonies and tight instrumental prowess which have become hallmarks of this young group.

Rear View Ramblers balances the tradition of bluegrass and folk music with the spirit of growing up in the Queen City. It doesn't take long to hear the connections to their hometown. From struggling days being young and broke, to playing music in Allentown and the Elmwood Village, to finding true love in a dive bar on the most random occasions, Buffalo Americana is an honest depiction of being young and desperately seeking happiness in a city known for hard times.

After spending several years playing with the Alt-Country ??band The CPX, songwriters Katie (Panfil) Clark and Andrew J. Reimers set out to create a more stripped down sound, a sound authentic enough to be enjoyed by even the most loyal bluegrass fans yet inoffensive to the ears of a younger generation who are just beginning to explore the genre.

Rear View Ramblers is:

Katie (Panfil) Clark: Vocals, Fiddle, Songwriter - A multi-Buffalo Music Award winner, the acclaimed breakout star of Musicalfare’s production of “Ring Of Fire” (Musical based on the life and music of Johnny Cash), and has played in Erie Lackawanna Railroad, Stone Row, The CPX.

Andrew J. Reimers: Vocals, Guitar, Washboard, Songwriter - A multiple time Artvoice Best Of Buffalo nominee for best male vocalist, spent the last 6 years as the primary songwriter for The CPX and one heck of a Dad.

Brandon Barry: Guitar, Ukulele, Vocals - Brandon was one half of songwriting team for the successful Buffalo rock band The Albrights. Winner of several Best of Buffalo Awards for Best Original Band, Best Rock band, and more. Also played in Erie Lackawanna Railroad and is one heck of a Dad too.

Jayson Clark: Banjo, Mandolin, Bass, Drums, Vocals - Clark engineered, produced, mixed, and mastered Buffalo Americana. A multi-instrumentalist, Jayson also plays in Stone Row, and was in Erie Lackawanna Railroad. The man can do it all.

Buffalo Americana will be for sale August 17, 2016 at Larkin Square, as well as available on iTunes, CDBaby, Spotify, and other streaming sites. Local Alt-Country Rockers, Uncle Ben’s Remedy, will be opening the show.
