Victims of Pulse Tragedy in Orlando
Posted

The recent tragedy in Orlando touched home for McDonald’s restaurants in Buffalo because two of the victims were Orlando McDonald’s employees who had recently vacationed in Niagara Falls.

To honor the memory of Oscar Aracena-Montero and Simon Adrian Carrillo Fernandez, local McDonald’s restaurants will host an in-restaurant fundraiser this weekend.

On Saturday, June 18, McDonald’s restaurants across WNY & NW PA will donate 50¢ from every Big Mac sold to Oscar and Simon’s local Ronald McDonald House in Orlando.  The donated funds will be designated to support Pulse victims’ needs.

“We are devastated by the tragic loss of two members of our McFamily,” explained Enrico Francani, president of the local consortium of McDonald’s restaurant owner/operators.  “This fundraising effort will create a lasting tribute to Oscar and Simon right in the community where they lived and loved.”
