LT Colleen E. Denny is a 2009 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in government.

Following graduation, she served as the assistant navigator and first lieutenant onboard USCGC FORWARD, a 270-foot medium endurance cutter stationed in Portsmouth, Virginia.

In 2011, she reported aboard USCGC PEA ISLAND, a 110-foot patrol boat stationed in Key West, Florida, as executive officer.

LT Denny most recently served as the aide-de-camp to the Pacific Area commander in Alameda, California, where she was responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of the Pacific Area commander's schedule, travel and all functions.

Her personal awards include two Coast Guard Commendation Medals and a Coast Guard Achievement Medal.
