This year marks the 20th anniversary of one of the most popular family events in the area. And it’s FREE! “KIDZ ‘N’ KITES” will be making its annual appearance on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Community Park, 7000 Lockport Road. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and fly time runs noon to 2 p.m. “Come fly with us in celebration of youth” is the theme that has continued through the years as families enjoy sports, fun, food, and learning. Thanks to the generous donations of the event’s many sponsors, children and their parents can take part in balloon making with the clowns, face painting, a car seat safety check and enjoy a kite flying demo, the Niagara Falls Police Department command center, animal and wildlife rescue groups, the Falls Fire Department fire house, and much more.
