There are several reasons to replace windows.
Existing windows or doors are drafty, inefficient, do not open or are pained shut.
You could have the best window available, if it in installed incorrectly, it will not perform like it should.
What that means is the entire window or door unit is removed to the rough opening including the frame, and interior wood work.
They can then inspect for rot, mold, and more.
After that, they apply a sill-flashing tape to sill.
They insulate around the window using a low expanding foam insulation.
Caulk interior of window install new interior woodwork.
Exterior window will have trim installed (to match existing on house).
