This month's Women in Leadership honoree is Sheila Brown.
Sheila L. Brown, CEO of Vision Multi-Media and owner of WUFO 1080 AM radio, was always an audacious dreamer. But she was even better at putting her plans into motion.
Now, in her first book, “29 Years of Preparation,” Brown chronicles her rise from entry-level saleswoman at WUFO in 1986 to sales manager and owner of a children’s clothing store to owner of Buffalo’s oldest black-owned radio station.
The aim of her book is to help guide women, particularly African-American women, to entrepreneurial success by following her example.
