Do the words ‘happy’, ‘healthy’ and ‘holiday’ go together? Registered Dietitian Carissa Galloway says they can, and she has some tips for creating a holiday that has delicious foods and nutritious ones too!

What she recommends as a dietician is finding these really great tasting nutritious products to enjoy for those in between times. So, one product is the Premier Protein, high protein shakes. She says they really make it easy to make that first step on your health journey or keep the momentum going. Carissa says as a dietician I am always looking at the nutrition and with these shakes you are getting 30 grams of protein, 160 calories and 1 gram of sugar, plus, a lot of things that a lot of us don’t think about but I do as a dietician is that 24 vitamins and minerals are inside which include antioxidants, vitamin C and E which are going to help support that healthy immune system as part of a healthy diet and lifestyle. There are eleven varieties of these shakes.

Carissa says we are tired of boring appetizers, so I am going to celebrate this year cooking Mrs. T.’s Pierogies. Today, Carissa made goat cheese and prosciutto wrapped pierogies using the Mrs. T’s mini classic cheddar. She baked these and added hot pepper jelly, goat cheese and wrapped it with the prosciutto and says it was really easy to do. There are so many ways to make Mrs. T’s. and Carissa wants you to show here how you got creative this with your appetizers. You can share it on her Instagram which is @Carissaanneg
